Applied Behavior Analysis
Center-Based Therapy
At our treatment center, learning is maximized by utilizing both one-to-one (1:1) and small-group settings. One-to-one offers an opportunity to break down abilities into smaller teachable skills and small-group settings offer opportunities to promote generalization or practice those skills in a more natural environment. This simply means that your child will receive dedicated attention from one of our therapists to develop and work on a certain skill and then will put these newly learned skills to use in a small group environment.
Again, the approach that will benefit your child the most is determined based on their specific needs. Your child is unique, so your child’s treatment plan will be individualized to their specific needs and learning style. We recognize that your child may require coordination of care with other service providers, so we offer the ability to receive multiple therapy types with ease.
Our clinicians work together to ensure all areas of need are identified and targeted through comprehensive treatment planning.
Home & Community Services
Our on point programming will utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to provide an understanding of how to treat. When a child is taught an appropriate way to communicate their wants and needs (such as, using words to request an item or a visual that represents what they want), they will no longer need to engage in yelling or throwing a tantrum.

Parent Participation Program
Success in ABA needs parent involvement! All of our programs include Parents Participating both in our center-based location and the family's home. Parents are the most important member of their child’s team and for their child to be successful. Teaching parents new ABA skills is a passion of ours to help their child’s development.
As a team, we will review your child’s goals with each parent and make a plan on what we can accomplish together.
Intensive Early Intervention Programming
Overview
Behavioral Health Consulting Services offers a Comprehensive Autism Day program for children. Our setting is a 1:1 staff/student ratio in a private office setting. Our approach is customized to each child with individualized programming according to what works best for them. Our on point program is delivered during the 12-month calendar and meets 5 to 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Full day and partial days are offered Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm. Half day options may be available. Our on point programming will focus on meeting several core areas promoting enrichment in your child’s day. Our programming expectations are to have the services in the center full day with one ½ day in home to promote generalization across all domains.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on evidence base strategies including Applied Behavioral Analysis. All clinical goals are individualized and developed with your BCBA/Licensed therapist to identify the appropriate goals for your child.

12:30 pm Departure (full time children will continue with instructional time)

1:15 pm- 2:30 pm group activity- sensory activity, art, interactive music/dance, etc.
1:30 pm- 3:00 pm Afternoon snack (will be done in shifts due to physical distancing)

Occupational Therapy
Our job as occupational therapists is to develop a plan that works to improve the lives of children. We work diligently to identify and develop a child's individualized and personal goals so that they can be as independent as possible in all aspects of their daily lives. We specialize in sensory, psychological, social, and environmental factors while successfully enhancing cognitive, physical, and fine motor skills.
Our Team
Our team consists of certified therapists that conduct feeding assessments and treatments.This program is designed for kids with feeding sensitivities and weight gain/growth difficulties. It also takes into account a wide variety of skills, including posture, motor, sensory, learning, and behavior.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to help children explore different sensory supports,calming techniques, and cognitive strategies to assist with self-regulation. Wehelp each child improve impulse control, increase attention, regulate their bodies and emotions, and increase body awareness.
We have designed and adapted a developmentally-based writing curriculum that incorporates a multi-sensory approach when learning letter formation. This technique can be adapted for all learning styles, including visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic.
Outpatient Therapy
These services are available to address mental health, psychiatric, and emotional problems. Developed by our team of mental health experts, our outpatient services are designed to provide support, clinical direction, and assistance in developing effective coping skills. Our outpatient treatment programs are designed for those who are not in a state of crisis, or those who have already completed an inpatient program.

We're thrilled to be offering you secure video visits. While we love it when you visit us in the office, we understand that it's not always convenient to do so. Video visits allow you to receive the same quality care as you do in the clinic, without taking time off work or finding a sitter to see us.

Screenings
M-CAT / CARS
Screening gauges risk for autism and, when appropriate, recommends when parents should seek further testing and evaluation. A positive screening result is not a diagnosis and does not indicate the presence of autism. For children eventually diagnosed with autism, early detection enables more effective treatment.
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for autism relies on observing and measuring behavioral characteristics and is typically conducted by a licensed clinician. A pediatrician or primary care provider can refer the child and family to a licensed specialist. Once a formal diagnosis is determined, the next step in a comprehensive assessment of what treatment services may be indicated. At BHCS to perform diagnostic procedures a licensed clinician is a trained expert in diagnostics.
Scales
BASC-3
Provides a snapshot of behavioral and emotional functioning, quickly identifying children and adolescents aged 3 to 18 years who might be in need of additional support.
Diagnosis
ADOS
Some interactions are intended to offer a high level of structure for the participant, while others are intended to provide less structure. Interactions and the participant’s responses are then coded in a standardized manner. An algorithm, which sums the scores of coded items, yields a classification indicative of autism.
Skilled Based Assessments
FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT ( FBA)
An FBA is an approach to figuring out why a learner acts a certain way. It uses different methods to understand what’s behind behavior challenges such as Interviews, Records Review, Direct Observation, Structured ABC (Antecedent - Behavior - Consequence) Data Collection, Functional Summary Statements and a comprehensive list of Recommendations.
PEAK (Promoting Emergence of Advanced Knowledge)
PEAK is an evidence-based assessment and corresponding curriculum that combines the traditional ABA verbal behavior approach with the science of Derived Relational Responding, which teaches the ability to make relations between concepts.
ABLLs-R
A device for assessing skills in children with language and learning deficits and is most commonly used in the process of the development of a behavioral program for children in the autism spectrum.
AFLS
Provides a systematic way to evaluate, track, and teach functional, adaptive, and self-help skills so that individuals with autism or developmental delays can become more independent
VB-MAPP
Offers a systematic way to evaluate children with autism or other developmental disabilities, assessing current language and social skills, identifying impediments to learning, analyzing needs, guiding curriculum, and tracking growth
